Arian is an Iranian-Canadian filmmaker, writer and photographer who lives in Montreal.
He started writing at the age of 15 and began photography when he was 17.
His first short film (8 mm) in 1985 won Best Film Editing at the Youth Film Festival in Iran.
He has a Bachelor Degree in Film Directing and a Masters Degree in cinema from the Faculty of Cinema & Theater at the University of Art in Tehran, Iran (1991-1998).
He has made 13 short films as a film director and writer. Seven of those films are video format and six are 16 mm.
He had 4 Photography exhibition (1996-99).
He is the editor for all his films and the videographer of two of his films.
He moved to Canada in 2001 and studied video editing with Avid. He is currently a professional editor and in 2005 edited the feature film called “Wedding Murder”, which has not yet been released.
In 2006, he launched a Persian magazine called Didar as the main publisher, and has since been the editor-in-chief.

Finalizing the script of a feature film that I have been co-writing with Marianna Spiliotopoulos to make it ASAP. The script is a dark-comedy action about four aspiring young film students who rob a jewelry store in order to fund the production of their first movie. But when a young actress catches them in the act, they must keep her hostage until their deal goes through. The writers are searching for a producer asap.
